Shipping & Returns

SHIPPING POLICY

All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit the quantity of products we supply. We also reserve the right to alter the terms or duration of any special offers or sales promotions. 

Once an order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation containing the details of your order. Upon your order being approved and processed for shipment, you will receive a second email containing your tracking number along with confirmation that your order has been dispatched. We ship through registered courier companies for orders within India. Delivery charges are the costs that we incur to get the product to your doorstep.

While we make every effort to only display items that are currently in stock and available to ship, there may be instances where we run out of stock in an item. In these instances, your item will be cancelled and a member of our customer service team will notify you.

Once an order has been placed on our website we are unable to modify or cancel the order. Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges policy for more information.

Items in your shopping basket are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers.

All orders have a processing time of one to two business days if the merchandise is in stock, with the exception of sale periods where it may take up to 72 hours. 

The exact shipping cost for your order will be added and displayed at checkout.

Please note that our shipments are made door-to-door only so we are unable to deliver to a PO Box. All orders require a signature upon receipt. 

Our goal is to deliver your purchase as quickly as possible. All orders will be shipped on business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays). The approximate delivery time within India is 5-7 working days from the day of dispatch. 

Our delivery partners will attempt to deliver the package three times before they return it to us. Please provide the complete and accurate shipping address including zip code and a mobile number. This will help us in delivering your order faster.

For shipping to India, we accept all major debit & credit cards. We also provide Net Banking options across major banks.

Return & Exchange Policy

A Fine Story endeavours to ensure that every transaction on our website is seamless. We take great care in delivering our products and adhere to the highest quality standards.

As a policy, we do not offer returns or exchanges on products which are delivered in perfect condition as per the order placed.

However, if the product is wrongfully delivered i.e. product doesn't match the item in the order confirmation or if the product you receive has a genuine quality/manufacturing defect, then we are open to re-fulfilling your order.

To return or exchange a product or report a damage in transit, please get in touch with our customer care within 48 hours of delivery at +91-9811565006 between 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM IST or email us at info@afinestory.com with your order number, date of transaction, delivery address and image of the wrongfully delivered or defective item.

Our customer care team will look into the issue and revert back within 48 working hours.

The replacement product will be sent to you once your original product has been received in resaleable condition.

Items should be returned new in their original A Fine Story packaging. All tags and labels must be attached. We will only accept returns for items that have not been damaged, washed, or altered.

Given the nature of our products, we reserve the sole discretion to provide the resolution to any situation as we deem fit. Each return or exchange request is handled on a case by case basis and we request you to get in touch with our team for prompt resolution.

Upon receipt of returned goods, A Fine Story reserves the right to deny refund if the merchandise does not meet return policy requirements. The goods will be returned to the customer at their own expense.

Items purchased at stores selling A Fine Story products cannot be returned to afinestory.com.

Items on sale cannot be exchanged or returned at any time.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products. However, as computer monitors may vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will be completely accurate.

Please note that natural materials such as jute, bamboo, wood and metal etc. may have different grain, texture, and colour as part of their natural characteristics. Please see our CARE INSTRUCTIONS for more information.

No refunds will be given if the customer has provided wrong or incomplete shipping address, if there are 3 failed delivery attempts by our shipping agency, and/or if the package is refused by the recipient.

In case of international orders,  deliveries may attract a customs duty or/and VAT as may be the applicable law in the country of delivery and these are over and above the price quoted on the site. 

If a customer refuses to pay the duty as mandated by the respective country of shipment and doesn't collect his/her order from the shipping agency (like DHL, FedEx etc.), then A Fine Story will not be liable to refund any amount.

All policies are subject to change without prior notice. In case of any conflict, Terms & Conditions Policy would prevail. Any disputes between you and A Fine Story shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction to the courts of Delhi.
